3. Craft Your Pottery and Chill out with Craft Beer
Enjoy your beautiful day at Koh Kred, an island in the Chao Phraya River located only 20 km away from Bangkok, with our local expert, Mr. Pick. Take a quick escape for a day from the busy districts. Ride a boat to Ko Kred, This trip is a perfect fit for anyone who want to chill out and observe a local community and its surrounding. Explore the less-crowded environment, and chill out with local craft beers. Not the best things to do in Bangkok, but definitely a great chill-out idea to enjoy your weekend, while you are in Bangkok.
4. Mangrove Boat Trip
This one trip has many interesting and chilling things to do in Bangkok. Discover mangrove trees. Our local expert will take you into a mangrove forest by a traditional long-tail boat. You will be planting a mangrove tree by yourself and feeding monkeys. Having your lunch at a small floating house in the middle of the sea and swimming in the oyster farm….how cool it that?
5. Shop at JJ market & Eat seafood in the middle of the river!!
As you might already know, shopping at Chatuchuk Market (JJ Market) is one of the most common things to do in Bangkok for every foreign travelers. With our local expert, Miss Ticha, she will drive you all the way from the market to a restaurant called Bangkok Sea View after you’ve done some shoppings. The restaurant is located off-shore of Bang Khun Tian. You will be taking a boat from the restaurant’s pier to Bangkok Sea View. Enjoy your local seafood dinner with the astonishing atmosphere.
6. Bang Kra Jao 3C Trip; Cycling, Cooking and Crafting
Need a change of your mood? From the crowded area of Bangkok to the green lung, called Bang Kra Jao, you will be cycling, cooking, and crafting throughout this special day trip. Our local expert will meet you at a BTS station, then take you to Bang Kra Jao via bus and ferry. You will be cycling through parks and gardens, observing beautiful birds, and visiting Siamese fighting fish museum in the morning. After having lunch (which you will be learning how to cook a Thai dish,) you will join a crafting session, choosing either Aromatic Joss Sticks, Tie-Dye, or Puang Ma Hod (Ceremony Decoration)…..phew….lol there are still many more activities to do in the afternoon….please check out the link above or click on the picture for more detail of this day trip. This trip isn’t one of the best things to do in Bangkok….since Bang Kra Jao is not in Bangkok…duh?! lol but when you reach Bang Kra Jao, you will definitely love everything there; the people, the nature, the local communities, etc.
7. Explore Tai-Yuan Community
Another one of the best things to do in Bangkok yet…no not really…lol If you are interested in traditional boats, textile, and rice harvesting this trip is for you. We will visit the community of Tai-Yuan people, a community containing a mixture of 2 ethnicities, in Saraburi Province. Our local expert will meet you from Bangkok, at a BTS station, and will take you all the way to the Tai-Yuan community. Learn the traditional Tai-Yuan’s way of life in a 200-year settlement and traditional Thai houses: the local weaving factory and beautiful handcrafts.
8. Sightseeing along the Mahasawat Canal in the local boat trip
Mahasawat is located approximately 50 kilometres from Bangkok in Nakhon Pathom province. The sightseeing tour to explore local orchards and the way of life along Mahasawat canal is here. You will ride a long-tail boat With Mr. Chai, your friendly Local Expert, to observe the town and enjoy your good vibe. You will be able to join a workshop, making Thai style rice crispy treats, then a choice of shopping at a local floating market or visiting a temple at the end of the trip.
9. Songlor Two legs: Cycling Trip
Cycling is one of the most popular things to do in Bangkok at the moment. Hopping around the rural area of Bangkok and visit a local tourist attraction. 11. Let’s cook my mama style’s local Thai food
Our local expert, Ms. Kantarat, will take you to one of the biggest fresh markets of Thailand, Tarad Tai, to buy some ingredients and start cooking yummy dishes from scratch. You will meet her at a BTS station in Bangkok. She will drive you to the market. You can choose 3 dished you will be cooking from Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, Spicy stir-fry baby clam, Thai-style seafood soup, Garlic prawn, Stir-fried lotus root, and many more. 12. Umbrella Market Trip
Have you ever strolling, shopping and eating by a railway while the train is passing by? This one is a very local market that located along railway lines. Our local expert will pick you up at a BTS station and drive you all the way from Bangkok to Rom Hub Market or Folding Umbrella Market is located at Mae Klong Railway Station, in Samut Songkhram province (72 km. from Bangkok). Rom Hub is truly a unique market, as it is located right on the active railway track. Then, you guys will be out to different markets such as Don Wai Market, Don Hoi Lot, or Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. This trip is one of the best things to do in Bangkok that you would definitely be able enjoy the local vibe.
